Talk to the people building it
Every deployment starts with a conversation rather than a signup form, because which modes you move and how your rate contracts arrive decide the configuration before a live shipment goes anywhere near it.
- A reply from someone who works on the software, not a sequence from a marketing tool.
- A straight answer on whether this fits the modes and volumes you actually move.
- If what you need is something this is not built to do — a transport management system, a rate marketplace, a filing utility — we will say so rather than keep you warm.
- Nothing sent to a sales team, because there is not one.
What is worth telling us
Five things that make the first reply a useful one
The modes you move, and roughly how many shipments
Ocean, air, road or rail, full container or consolidated, and the monthly volume. It changes which parts of this are worth showing you first — an LCL consolidator and an air forwarder have almost nothing in common operationally.
Whether you clear your own customs
A licensed broker in house and a broker you hand off to are different products. The classification and declaration surfaces matter a great deal in the first case and almost not at all in the second.
How a carrier invoice gets checked today
Honestly. "Somebody looks at the total" is the common answer and it is not embarrassing — it is the reason the audit grid exists, and knowing it tells us what the first month would actually change.
What your last demurrage bill looked like
Free-time arithmetic is where the money usually is, and a real invoice tells us more in five minutes than a scoping call does in an hour.
What it would have to talk to
A transport management system, an accounting package, a customer portal, carrier EDI. The console is one client of an API, so this is usually straightforward — but it is better settled early than discovered late.
Please keep live shipment data out of the form
It is an ordinary enquiry form, not a channel for a live consignment. Customer names, importer-exporter codes, GSTINs, container numbers, bill of lading numbers and commercial invoices should not go in it. Once there is an account, those belong inside it — encrypted per organisation, scoped to your people, and kept out of log storage.
