Motion, interlocks and emergency stops stay with the validated controller — always

Talk to the people building it

Every deployment starts with a conversation rather than a signup form, because which vendors are on the floor and what their interfaces allow decide the configuration before anything connects to a production network.

  • A reply from someone who works on the software, not a sequence from a marketing tool.
  • A straight answer on whether this fits the robots and systems you actually run.
  • If what you need is something this is not built to do — a robot, a safety system, a controller, motion programming — we will say so rather than keep you warm.
  • Nothing sent to a sales team, because there is not one.

What is worth telling us

Five things that make the first reply a useful one

  • The robots on the floor, and who built them

Arms, mobile robots, conveyors and cells, with the vendor of each and roughly how many. It decides which adapters matter first — a single-vendor fleet and a three-vendor floor are very different conversations.

  • What they report to today

A vendor fleet manager, a PLC, SCADA, a historian, an MES. The coordination layer reads from what already exists, so knowing it tells us how much of the floor is visible on day one.

  • Where work waits

Honestly. “At the lift” or “whenever two fleets meet” is a common answer and it is not embarrassing — it is the reason shared-resource reservation exists, and it tells us what the first month would actually change.

  • What your last energy bill looked like

Demand charges are where the money usually is, and a real bill with the production volumes behind it tells us more in five minutes than a scoping call does in an hour.

  • Who owns the safety case

The integrator who commissioned the cells, an in-house controls team, or the vendor. The software never touches safety functions, but the people who own them should be in the conversation from the start.

Please keep live plant data out of the form

It is an ordinary enquiry form, not a channel for a live site. Network addresses, controller credentials, safety configurations, plant layouts and equipment serial numbers should not go in it. Once there is an account, those belong inside it — encrypted per organisation, scoped to your people, and kept out of log storage.
